Regular Season Round 2: Caguas - Santurce 90-86
Date: March 31, 2026
Criollos defeated Cangrejeros in Caguas 90-86 . The hosts trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 51-43 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Criollos made 22-of-25 free shots (88.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Criollos made 10 blocks. The best player for the winners was American point guard Travis Trice II (183-1993, college: Michigan St.) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points, 12 assists and 5 steals (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). The other American import center Moses Brown (218-1999, college: UCLA) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 6 blocks. Criollos' coach used entire bench in such tough game. American guard Malik Beasley (196-1996, college: FSU) produced 20 points and 6 rebounds and naturalized U.S. Virgin Islands guard Walter Hodge (183-1986, college: Florida) added 22 points respectively for the guests. Santurce will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Caguas will try to continue on its current victory against Santurce on the road.
